Hi! I had a friend that had the bypass a f she used to take pills-- I lost touch with her but I do remember her mentioning and taking them.

Any ideas / thoughts.... She did take like 10+ a day.... But it was pills nonetheless!!! Lol

I think Protein pills would only be for folks who absolutely cannot stand the tase of Protein powder. I haven't priced them recently but whey powder is cheaper I believe. And even at a year out I would rather chew up a tab than swallow one and have it lay on my stomach. The only pills I swallow are gel capsules, the rest I chew up no matter how bad they taste.

Have you tried Protein Powder?

All the ones I've seen are predigested casien Protein, which is a very slow digesting protein. It's basically the opposite of whey protein in that sense, as whey is super fast absorbing which is why that is what we are recommended to take. Also, most are only 1 gram of protein per pill. So think about how many you would have to take....and they are horse pills. You could get a better concentration of casien protein in cottage cheese and it would be easier to swallow frankly. 4 oz of cottage cheese contains about 11 grams of protein...imagine eating 11 of those pills rather than 4 spoonfuls of cottage cheese.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
