I think Protein pills would only be for folks who absolutely cannot stand the tase of Protein powder. I haven't priced them recently but whey powder is cheaper I believe. And even at a year out I would rather chew up a tab than swallow one and have it lay on my stomach. The only pills I swallow are gel capsules, the rest I chew up no matter how bad they taste.

Have you tried protein powder?

All the ones I've seen are predigested casien protein, which is a very slow digesting protein. It's basically the opposite of whey protein in that sense, as whey is super fast absorbing which is why that is what we are recommended to take. Also, most are only 1 gram of protein per pill. So think about how many you would have to take....and they are horse pills. You could get a better concentration of casien protein in cottage cheese and it would be easier to swallow frankly. 4 oz of cottage cheese contains about 11 grams of protein...imagine eating 11 of those pills rather than 4 spoonfuls of cottage cheese.
