Im getting over the anxiety thing and now im just more looking forward to feeling good about myself again. I wanna be able to walk up my stairs to my house without getting winded. I wanna be able to eat a small amount and be full and not think wow I could eat more. I just hope the surgery goes well for all of us March 14th sleevers. Our long journey is going to be well worth. ... just to give you some hope. I had my sleeve and gallbladder surgery at the same time. First day in the hospital I used the drip a couple of times... 2nd day I used it twice. I went gome that day and havnt used any pain meds since the hospital. No pain.. nothing

So true I only used pain meds the first day out.

So far in the hospital I have used the morphine maybe five times to help me sleep. It makes me nausea so I try to only take it when I need it. I dont really like pain meds so im avoiding it at all costs. Lol the pain isnt as bad as I thought it would be. The gas is what kills it. My doc said to not take gas x strips so that sucks. I just have to deal with it. Tomorrow I get to try fluids for the first time. Wish me luck

Well hopefully you are now all done and dusted, and on the way to your happier and healthier life. It really was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am at my target weight, and fel amazing! I have been maintaining for around 6 months, I can eat anything, no food is a problem. I eat like a normal person, just smaller amounts - I love my sleeve, and I hope you love your too! Good luck xxx

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
