2 weeks post op and still feeling nauseous everyday. is this normal?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved 2 weeks ago but still have bouts of nausea a couple of times a day, everyday. My stomach always feels gurgly and alternates with acid stomach or gas and nausea. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever feel normal. Anyone else experience this?

I am 2 weeks post op today. I havent had any nausea issues but I can completely relate to the gurgle noises going on. Feeling frustrated. Saw my surgeon last weds. 5 days ago and have only dropped 1 lb in the last 5 days :(

I was nauseous for almost two months. It was mainly in the mornings and medication didn't help that much. I was given zofran and another medicine (can't think of the name of it now) but it made me soooooo sleepy that I rarely took it. I had to get an extension on my disability because of it. It gradually went away.

2 months? ? Gosh I hope it doesn't last that long. I'm useless when I feel nauseous. Can't get anything done. All I wanna do is lie down on my side.

dont worry :) the first few months you will have your days where you feel that way. they get less and less though. I guess its normal (as my doc says). I still have the odd day where I feel sick and Im 3.5 months out.

Are you on regular food now? i'm still on liquids and am so sick of Tomato and cream of chicken Soup. I wonder if that could be exaccerbating the sick to my stomach feeling.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
