Today is the beginning! I unpacked my new blender, tossed in a little ice, one container of Premier Protein vanilla and a couple if frozen strawberries/banana slices. It did not turn out like I expected lol

There was just a huge, frothy amount of shake in the blender. The strawberries did not hide the entire taste of the shake, either. I felt like I drank 3 shakes, not one. It was all of that frothiness lol

Any advice? Lol

I've tried lots of different shakes and agree that the premiers are some of the better ones. However, the vanilla is kinda blah. The chocolate is really good. I also like the Chike shakes (purchase packets from their website).

I find that if I make a Protein Shake using powder and frozen fruit they come out well in the blender. Using the packaged ones seem to make more foam. You'll get foam regardless, but it's less using powder. I'll use 1 scoop powder, handful of frozen fruit (choice of usually strawberries or banana or mango) and a scoop of yogurt then thin with Water. No need then for ice.

All pre op diets are different...

As far as refrigeration of a shake after you make it. Sure, if its a mix though it might separate some and need to be blended some more.

It will definitely separate but shaking it up will help that. Be sure though to read the directions on whatever Protein Powder you buy. Some will say to drink immediately. Not sure if that's to prevent separation or for some other reason.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
