Anyone ever post on the lapband talk forum in the lapband complications section? Is it just me or do you get rudeness from people when you post about complications? Almost like whatever reason you are having problems it's your own fault? I have kept my mouth shut and not responded to the rude ones but its getting old and I'm finding that each time it happens I want to get downright nasty back!

Omg yes! I hated posting there, I had so many complications and was so sick. And when I would post to vent or for support they treated me like I was a freaking moron who couldn't figure out how to utilize the band and all my complications were no big deal. I haven't been on there in a year now because of it. I joined this one when I started my journey to revision. 2months post op and feel 100x's better!

It is because as long as people can imagine it was YOUR fault they feel safe - couldn't possibly happen to THEM...lol

I don't post over there but I do notice something similar on the sleeve side. If people here post complications the immediate reaction is that they too must have done something wrong.

I was lucky that I didn't have complications from my band - other than it just didn't provide restriction! I just wish I could go back and regain those wasted five years.

But, I'm still surprised that so many people are choosing the band after the increased rates of complications and low weight loss in comparison to other surgeries.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
