I had a rough start with my sleeve because I had a stricture but with God and a great surgeon ( dr Mailapur ) and my family I made it thru and well on my way to a new me!

Awesome! I'm almost 5 weeks out and am also quite happy. It has been harder than I thought in some respects but 20 lbs down and feeling better in my clothes sure helps! Congrats to you!!

I too was sleeved on Jan 24th. Mine was a lap band revision. They also did a hernia repair. I have only lost 16 lbs. I am 56 and am hoping that my slow weight loss has something to do with my age. I hit a plateau for the last week or so. Any suggestion?

my surgery was jan 21st. I'm 54 years old and today makes 5 weeks and I've only lost 17 pounds. it's a bit frustrating that the last 2 weeks I have bounced up and down instead of steady losing more. but I'm trying to stay positive and believe that it will come off in time. I figure if I only lost 6 pounds a month from here on, then I would be another 60 pounds down by Christmas, which would put me at 157 and although I'm aiming for between 138-148, I would be ecstatic too see the 150's again!

Be happy I was the 21st too and I have only lost 11... scale won't budge no matter what I do. I run 2 miles 3-4 times a week. Getting all my Protein and Water in... My clothes feel good but talk about discouraged! ARG!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
