Meat and cheese pizza, thick crust by the 1" surface size.

This is for 1 slice of a large Papa John's pepperoni pizza, which is what I've been eating -- 13 grams of Protein, a little bit of Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, and Iron. This looks fine to me. This is more nutritous than most of the Nutrisystem meals I eat for lunch. Yes, the fat is a little high, but on days that eat pizza, I skip my afternoon snack to make up for the extra calories. Again, it's all about moderation.

Hello fellow January bandsters. I've been away too because of vacation last week in Las Vegas and Utah. I was able to lose half a pound while on vacation which I thought was close to a miracle! Anyone else try an all you can eat buffet with millions of deserts to choose from?

My daughter is getting married in July in a destination wedding in Jamaica. Now I have even more incentive to lose. I went in for a third fill today and was so glad to see that all of my previous fill (1.3 cc) was still there. This fill added another .3 to bring me up to 1.8 cc.

I haven't been losing as fast and the nurse told me that the closer I get to goal, the slower the weight loss. Bah!

I plan to purchase a swimsuit for the first time in years. I want to wait 2 more months and hope I can get down another size.

Just checking in and happy to see the old gang all still here. Looks like we are pretty much in the same boat. Sailing along slow and steady.

Terry

Just came back from the doctor. I got my second fill I am a little tighter. I felt it tighten up as I was on the table. I believe I have 2cc now. I was only down 1lb since the first fill. I was told by my doctor that I can't have any liquid calories. That means no dannon smoothies or Protein Shakes. I have to hvae Protein Bars. Do u all know of any good ones????

The port pain he said that I may have pulled it the wrong way, but everything is ok.!!!!

Purpose: Glad the port pain isn't serious. In my experience, there are NO good Protein bars. A 1 lb. loss after the first fill is great, since I've heard that most people don't lose after only 1 fill. I noticed after about a week after the first fill, I was ravenous, so I was pleasantly surprised when I too lost 1 lb.

:clap2:

Hey all…

Just wanted to check in and say Hi to all my fellow January Bandsters. Well, just one month from Sunday - and I will have my first fill. Yes, 90 days later. Hard to believe that I'm actually keeping the original weight loss off - and then some! Since day of surgery, I'm now down 28 pounds. I have absolutely NO restriction - can eat anything I want whenever I want in QUANTITIES that I want. However, I'm being smart and really not going crazy. Though, I have pushed the envelope a time or two. I'm so looking forward to restriction; especially in the summer months when 'picking' at foods can be so much easier.

I'm doing my rebounder and ellyptical machine at home - getting in more exercise that I've ever done. I am just very down and depressed that I have this 90 Global period. I struggled and suffered so long and hard after surgery - and then NOT to have my fill covered until May…sickens me. But…it’s the cards that I was dealt; so be it, I'm now moving on. Having a lot of fun wearing clothes I've not worn in ages…actually going through sizes faster than I had anticipated. Found some very generous friends who have given me bags of clothes to help me work through all this bagginess that is going on.

I'll be sure to get myself back in gear, and back on the board. I guess I am feeling sort of left out; you're all getting fills and doing so well. I'm very envious - and wish I could chime right in and offer some good input - but I can't. I'm stuck behind you guys.

Sheri

Hey Sheri,

Congrats on your weight loss and will power. You've done great! I'll bet the exercise is helping on your journey as well. Keep it up and you'll really impress them when you go in for your first fill.

Keep up the good and HARD work!

Shawn

Okay, I can officially say that I've been stuck twice and have foamed once! Weird.....each time it happened I was eating cold leftovers out of the fridge. I've had 2 fills for a total of 2.25 in a 4cc band....can still eat Subway sandwiches (although about a 1 inch slice off of one instead of an entire sandwich!). Last time I figured it up I've lost 42 pounds in 13 weeks.....started at a 30/32 and got into 24 jeans about 4 days ago!

Good Evening all

I just got off the scale and I have lost 4lbs since my fill on Tuesday. I am psyched. I start my master cleanse on Monday. YEAH!!!!!!

I was having a very bad day today. I have been crying and having thoughts of going to sleep and never waking up. Its not the weight alone but life in general. I have just been so lonely lately and it has begun to take a toll on me. I have friends that love and care for me so I am so blessed to have family and friends that care and love me. But today I was feeling so so low. So for those of you that r prayers please pray for me. As I type this I am beginning to feel a lot better, but prayer never hurt anybody. Thanks for being there for me.

good to hear you are out there still :( but sorry you got stuck having to wait for a fill- 90 days? how dumb are they- they pay for the tool (the band) then won't let you adjust it to work. I am glad you can get a fill now.

on the bright side, you are doing awesome with your eating- :clap2: I can't believe the willpower and progress (I am sure not there yet).

hello ladies...

when I went in for my second fill yesterday, I was worried my doctor wouldnt do it..he now does not do fills on Fridays, and I had lost 5 pounds in three weeks..so I told him, well, I am eating anything I want, but have been walking, I have no restriction and I never have...he said walking wont take of the pounds, only caloric restriction..so needless to say he wasnt buying the excercise card..BUT, he did give me a 1cc fill, and said I had resorbed my last...I felt immediate restriction, and, yea!, didnt feel starved yesterday or this morning...the receptionist was even surprised he had done the fill, as I guess he wont do ANY on fridays..*I promised I wouldnt call him this weekend if I had any complications :(...so I am a happpy girl at this point...woohoo...

Hey everyone, I can't believe how good everyone is doing!!! My mom took me shopping yesterday and I finally have nice clothes that fit. Before my surgery, I was a size 26, now I have size 22 pants, which I thought was good. Another few pounds, I'll be able to wear a lot of old clothes that I have stored away. I've been working out 30 mins 3x a week so if I hit a plateau i can work out longer and harder. I can't wait until the 26th to see if I lost anything. Keep up the good work everybody!

same here.. "stuck twice and foamed once!" Not pleasant. I had the same experience. Cold food that was probably too dry.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
