Has anyone found any relief from the pressure of a girdle after surgery. I have found if I put pressure on my stomach it feels better. Anyone else.... ?

Yes pressure on the stomach helps. I don't use my Spanx bc they are a little too tight but I hold a pillow on my tummy when I get up or have to cough.

I think a true girdle would be too tight. I got the stomach support band from motherhood that was posted awhile back, but it was too big and really gave no support so i used it only once. I found that i really did not need anything anyway. I had a pillow coming home in the car but it was only psychological support and not truly needed. I do kind of hold my hand to my middle when i cough or sneeze, thinking it will hurt, but once again, not truly needed. The only time i really needed support was the first week or two when lying down on my side and a pillow works well for that. Long story short... Toss your money in a jar for new clothes rather than spend on a temporary, probably unneeded garment. Just my two cents. :)

A girdle is always good maybe 2to 3 weeks after surgery. I use one everyday and the reason being is ur skin tightens a bit. It helps mold n somehow shape ur body over a period of time. I see the difference when I wear one and somehow it makes me suck up my stomach which in the end that's what u want ur stomach area to be flat as possible.

I am going to start wearing my Spanx for the same reason.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
