Ok, so I am one week post op and I feel like I am eating and drinking all day to the point that I feel like I am overeating and drinking. Im consuming about 1/4 a cup of heavy Soup (no chunks, one step above broth), I can do 3/4c of broth, yogurt cup, popsicle and another 1/4c of heavier Soup then get in most of my liquids. Does that sound right for a day?

I feel like that's a lot of food , like Im pigging out but its only 420 calories. Im feeling guilty....WTH?

Those numbers are your per day or per meal numbers. Per day that sounds about like what I have in my guide book.

I bet. But yea, that almost exactly lines up with what the info from my Nut says for starting out on foods. Its definitely a good thing that it feels filling. That's more or less the idea I suppose. :)

You can have yogurt at a week out? or am I reading that wrong? three weeks of straight up liquids here - even creamy Soup seems problematic to our nutritionist. I would have been thrilled to be able to get that much liquid in that early - sounds like you are doing great!

I would not worry unless you start drinking liquid frappacinos or milkshakes haha. When you start solid food you will come to know what restriction feels like and it is serious business :) You are full very, very fast.

Every surgeon is different. Mine does 1week clear, next week full liquids, next week puree and next soft solids ;-). I've lost 13lbs in the first week and today is the first day of 2nd week.

Remember liquids are easier then solids, so you can probably take more right now. I thought the same thing when I was on liquids, but now that I have some semi solids I eat an ounce or two and I am stuffed....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
