abdominal binder

Recommended Posts

I wore mine for at least 4 weeks. My abdominal muscles felt week and it helped me feel protected and made changing positions easier. I also felt like it protected my incisions if I was out shopping or something. I really liked having it.

I woke up in post op with mine on already. Feels nice while indoors. I'm in hot steamy Texas. I'll start back to work on Thursday and plan to wear it for extra support. I don't think it's like a Lipo compression garment you HAVE to wear for so many weeks after. Just your personal preference I guess.

Hi I am 11 months out and I wasn't given a binder but about week 2 or 3 I started wearing compression garments and still do till this day. Makes clothes fit better and hides some of the loose skin around the abdomen.

I buy them at Ross, Marshall's or T.J Maxx..

I asked repeatedly for one in the hospital. Finally i was told they only had them in much bigger sizes than i needed. I didn't know I could buy it on my own. I guess at 3 weeks I should just go for compression garments. How do you buy them? Is it like bra size, pant size or something else?

I'm definitely buying and wearing one, I work in a building material/lumber yard so I know my binder will come in handy for support and a bit of compression. I then researched full bodyshapers, I even bought one with 3/4 sleeves and pants which are Capri length. I think it will help as I lose weight, keep me in place and not just flabby and hanging out all over. Couldn't hurt, right?

I woke up from surgery with a binder on and wore it for two weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
