My WLS support group in my area all signed up at the local gym for a "Boot Camp" to get us all in shape to run a local 5k in May. Tonight is the first session. Wish me luck, because I'm terrified!

I'm going to do the same thing in May with the nut and a group of other post surgery people. We're starting the middle of March but I've actually done Water aerobics 2 days in a row!! I don't know if I can run but they said I can walk it if I can't run it. Knee replacement 2 years ago April.

W3D2 Done! Wasn't too bad. I think I finally found my rhythm on the first 3 min run. Happy day everyone.

I thought all you runners might appreciate this.

Hilarious! Are you *trying* to get me to give up my treadmill running? Lol! Seriously, I have thought precariously about the wall behind me a few times when running, but then forget all about it. :) for all us Americans, a few of these might remind you of a certain person from last season on Americas Got Talent ( or the season before) whose soul purpose was to land on his gonads intentionally, to get laughs. I am still cracking up over the various treadmill accidents 10 minutes later...so funny.

I was thinking about you, but I doubt you would ever fall victim to such a catastrophe. Almost every one of those people in that video where doing things they weren't supposed to be doing.

I will say, when I did my VO2 max test the other day, I ran on the treadmill for about 10 minutes (seemed like an hour). And I felt like I had never run before. I am not used to that at all. I thought it would be the same as running outside but it's totally different. Plus it was in this mobile trailer so the whole thing rattled and shook while I ran....very disconcerting.

Great vid. You gotta love a good treadmill face plant!

Especially when there is a pogo stick involved.

See, you probably just had a bad experience on an inexpensive treadmill on an unstable surface.I would find running on a treadmill that is bumping and grinding to the rhythm of your feet and the counter vibrations of the mobile trailer very disconcerting and scary. I would probably end up like one of those people in the video that goes through the wall.

It does not have to be that way! My commercial Precor is mechanical beauty for its time and also today. Most companies cannot make treadmills like Precor or they simply are not in the same price range bracket. You get what you pay for. Love running on my Precor as it is so smooth and quiet compared to most non-Precor treadmills I have tried in various gyms or hotels.

Just sayin'.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
