When do you guys take your Vitamins? Like can you take the B12 at the same time as the Multivitamin? And Calcium should be taken a couple hours later right? I'm confused and can't find any information on it.

My doctor has me taking b12, a multi, and calcium citrate in the morning. Then calcium citrate for lunch and another calcium citrate and multi at dinner time. No Iron is required for me. He does mention to take iron at least 2 hours after the other stuff.

Hi guys, I was sleeved on January 16th. I have been doing just fine and its the best decision I have ever made. I'm getting in my Protein everyday and I'm eating just fine. I was 265 pounds before surgery and I'm down as of today to 215 pounds. That's right I've lost 50 pounds since surgery and I'm even in the gym doing light lifting. I was totally disgusted with how I looked and how I felt but today I feel good, and I love the reflection I see when I look in the mirror now. Good luck and much success to the rest of you guys.

My level off weight I want to be 200-205. I was In bad shape and in bad health. I have been taking 13 pills a day covering diabetes, blood pressure medicine, high cholesterol medicine, arthritis and sleep apnea medicine plus 5 shots of Insulin per day. After surgery I take 1 pill and No Insulin at all. Diabetes completely in remission which is the reason I had the surgery.

I don't have a drain' date=' but I absolutely feel hunger. It's not a "head hunger" either. I literally start to feel hunger pains. Now granted it does not take me long at all to satisfy the hunger with just a sip or two of something. But I do need "something:)[/quote']

I had the drain but they toke it off the day I was coming home. It don't hurt it was a wired feeling because you feel it coming out when they pull. Just hold your breath in as my doctor told me and it be over in 5 seconds.

Johanna-my surgery is in two weeks and I've been feeling the same way as you. You are not alone! It's got to get better. Hang in there!

Well, I'm now 8 days post-op and I feel great. The first three days were rough but not intolerable by any means. I reminded myself that I did have major surgery.

My energy level is not quite back to normal yet but I have no pain, no nausea. I am getting my Protein and fluids down but it's an all day process. I am so happy I did this for myself and will treasure this precious tool I've been given. Following all my post-op instructions to a T.

Have lost 8 lbs since being home. Drain came out yesterday. Did not hurt a bit!!!

Anxious to get past the 4 week Fluid stage so I can actually chew again but I do not have any head hunger that I had feared that I would. Cannot imagine going through this long process and surgery only to cheat, I feel like I've been given a gift. I'll be praying for you and your surgery soon

I was sleeved yesterday. I'm down 20 pounds from preop. The gas pains were horrible when I first woke in recovery but since then it hasn't been too bad. I've had a c-section so it's kinda like I'm reliving that experience. Lol

Ok 5 days post op. The only pain I had (have) is the gas pain. They also repaired a hernia. Feel great the best thing I could have done. Walking 45 minutes on the treadmill and using my exercise bands for resistance. Only wish is did it sooner.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
