I am 13 days post op and have tried not to weigh myself in fear of becoming this way...i feel like im hungrier more and it seems like im eating more since i have to eat throughout the day...i dunno...im 13 pounds down but im sure the all yogurt diet and being on all liquids has helped that..i dont know guys im so scared this isnt going to work..help i need some reassurance!

13 pounds is amazing! A pound a day!!! That is the rate I am about running...17 days post-op and I am 20 pounds down!!

You should calorie count - even if it is just for one day - and you will realize we are "eating" barely anything. I drink like 4 double skim milks a day (8 oz skim milk + 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk = 160 calories x 4 times daily = 640). Sometimes I add a small 5-8 oz yogurt in. Clearly that is so much less than we used to eat. And even as we are allowed to add more solids in, it is minimal and again, way less than what we used to nosh on before!

You will be fine! We will be fine!

I am almost 4 months out and down 50lbs! Trust me you will see it when you least expect it.

I know the weight is falling off however I still see the fat me in the mirror. Gonna take my brain time to catch up!

Some days are worse than others. Some days I graze and others I dont even want to eat.

I wish you the best!!

I posted a few weeks back about my numbers in a picture. Maybe you can search my profile and find the post.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
