I'm going alone as well. It sounds like many people are up and shopping the next day- they said its a good idea to walk and move the gas out of your body... Where are you going/when? You may find another member of these board traveling to the same place as you at the same time! Then you won't be "alone"!

I have to go alone when I go. I know icon23 went alone.

I've heard some people say...I wish I would have come alone, I felt like I had to entertain my companion and I just wanted to rest and heal.

On the other hand, I'm sure there are sleevers that went alone that really wished they had someone.

I am looking forward to going alone. I get some ME time. Me and ice chips and broth time.

I think it just depends on the person and how they feel after surgery. The drs and staff are very attentive to you needs so it's not really necessary to have a companion, but loved having my daughter around and we went shopping and sightseeing and as much as possible.. And a little Botox and poolside fun too! Loved my time down there and will be returning again.

Good luck and have fun in the sun!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
