day of surgery i was 478... after the first 3 weeks i had lost 45lbs... since starting soft and full bariactic diet i have stalled and only lost 11 more pounds.

I am so frustrated.... i am only eating what is allowed and very small portions at that..... UGH.....

so disappointed

Just wanted to say congrats to all. These stories are so encouraging.

Hello to all those I have not yet met. In answer to your question regarding how much of my stomach did they take, I don't know. My surgeon doesnt give %'s.

In answer to Willy.....don't be discouraged! Your body has to figure out what is going on. I have a general trend that I don't lose for about 3 weeks, then I drop some, then repeat. As long as we are doing what we should, that is all we can do and it will be ok! I also noticed that it was at the times when the scale was NOT moving that I noticed the most difference in clothing. It sounds a bit weird but it's true. I haven't lost anything for about a month now. I try to not weigh often so that I too do not become discouraged. It helps that I feel so much better than I did.

Onward! we can do this!!

Just checking in. I'm down another 15lbs. Still feeling great and exercising. I'm hoping to increase my workouts at the gym from 3 days a week to 4.

Merry Xmas to All .. Hope all is great in your worlds : )

Just want to throw my hat in here and wave to you all. I hope to be an "over 400 lb success" some day. I was 491 when I started, lost around 70 lbs prior to surgery (all in Oct, Nov, and Dec), and am almost 3 weeks post op (surgery date Dec 17) and have now lost 96 lbs total. Over the weekend I was able to buy a 400 lb capacity scale (15 dollars at costco) and consider that a victory in and of itself! I am no longer in the 400s for the first time in several years! Just 240 lbs more to go!

Way to go Heynowkc! You are doing awesome!!!!

@@sophie'sChoice Thanks! I'm excited for the year to come!

My journey began with me weighing 449 lbs. I didn't have gastric bypass. You're in charge of your body. If it's not right for you please don't let your surgeon push you into it. Many people are just as successful with VSG even when they come from the hjgher weights. More consideration and research time is alotted to anyone who isn't sure. If I can offer you anything constructive or helpful please let me know.

Peace
