Recovery for me went well, had small issues like a very runny tummy for the first week so got really dehydrated, also my incisions got infected so had to get a sugar free liquid antibiotic which was the worst thing I have ever tasted in my life.

I didn't feel like my tummy had been cut out but did feel very tender where the large incision was. It's more achy than sore, I felt it more when I was bending or trying to sit up. I can honestly say it wasn't agony and was it was a really manageable pain, not half as sore as I was expecting.

Hope this helps.

for me, it felt like i had just done 10,000 sit-ups. it felt like muscle aches, not like they just removed half your stomach. the incision where they remove the stomach hurt the most and the longest.

I couldn't bend. Day one I couldn't even wipe my own as s. as the days went on it gets better, took me almost 2 weeks to sleep on my side. But now I'm back to normal :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
