I was sleeved on October 18th, I am down 50 lbs total. I am sad ~ it went fast and I stalled for 3 weeks, then 6 pounds came off. I have started walking again, I had stopped through a move and the flu ~ I sure l the difference in activity vs. no activity. I am hoping to report in at the end of March that I am at least 10 lbs down.

I think in all posts on forums like this You should give only " Weight on the day of Surgery " and "weight as on today "

Weight on day of surgery was 335, today i'm 277. I feel like it's been slow, and am sometimes jealous of seeing those that have lost more already, however, when i look at the fact that i've lost about 58 lbs in a little over 4 months, i cannot complain!

Anyone stalling for first time since Oct. surgery? I was doing great until the past few weeks. I'm teetering between 199.5 and 200.5 since Feb. 1st. My carbs. have been a little high so I reduced them by half today, drank a ton of Water, had my shake for Breakfast and got more activity in...hopefully my stall will break soon. (Although my jeans got very baggy this week--so there, Mr. Scale!!) DOS - 255, today - 199.5.

Seem to be in a stall. Noticed my carbs a little high so I have cut back. Amazing how they snuck back into my diet. I was surprised to see so many carbs in my Protein bars i will be looking for a new one.

You are absolutely correct about the carbs! I too have been a bit too liberal with my carb choices! They go down fine, yet meat is another story still! Back on track today. I've finally stayed under 200 for almost a week (198), so at least I haven't gone past 200 again! That see-saw ride was killing me! (prob. why I over-ate carbs-I still go to food! Even if it's a tiny amount! I have a lot of growing/changing to do!)

Way to go Holly!! I lost 3 more lbs by upping my Protein and Water, so I officially broke the 250 mark!! Its was one heck of a stall.

DOS 299.5 today 248. YES!! I notice that some folks have lost up to 70 or even 80 lbs since October........that is fabulous!! However, I have only lost 52 but I have seen people as low as 30 lost in 4 months so what the heck, I am headed in the right direction.

I think everyone is doing great!

I didn't lose in February at all. But lost inches and 6lbs since the end of feb. I'm down 50 from the day of surgery and loving it. Do I wish I was losing faster yes. I think it's actually better at a slower pace as our bodies can adjust better. Plus I am losing it far faster than I was before surgery. I would lose 10 and gain 15. I'll take my losses however they come.

Here's a tip I learned that we've all heard. I was busy in February and didn't get on the scale but 3 times. Much easier to deal with. Yes, I was the one getting on it more than once a day sometimes. It is far less frustrating when you forget about the scale.

Keep it up October losers, way to go!

Hi- sleeved on Oct 24th.

SW 270

CW- 187

I can just aout eat anything BUT rice, Pasta, salads and fluffy breads. I turn into a gas machine and feel like crap when I do. I don't exercise much, but I need to so I can start toning. I could drink more Water too. Oh, and the ice cream with sprinkles should probably not be on my weekly diet. I am doing what I can though.

Started in 22/24 and 3x, now down to 14/16 and regualr XL. This close to saying goddbye to Lane Bryant and hitting the 100 pounds loss mark. That's my goal for June.

How is everyone doing? I started at 270 now at 190. Really was hoping to hit 100 at my year mark (oct 23) but don't think it is going to happen. Unless my gallbladder weighs 20 lbs. That sucker is coming out on Wednesday.

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
