Hope everything is ok! I'm so so very sorry you are going through this. My best friend had the same thing happen a few months ago. It's a terrible experience!

Wow, that is horrible. Lucky you are safe and you were not home at the time it started. Hope all is well with you, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

We weren't allowed back into our residents that night so we drove to my parents house in long beach. We just got back now. My place is ok there's just a smokey smell, there were 20 apts destroyed though and I can't believe those people lost all their possessions because of a single car fire. Here's an article that I saw. However it wasn't contained at 10 pm we were there till one and it was still going.

I'm just beat.... Really emotionally drained. But I'm ok. My heart goes out to the families though.

Hey Fyre,

Glad your ok, I know this had to be a really traumatic experience for you guys. I'm sure it will take a while for things to go back to some kind of "normal" around there.

Hi Fyre,

Glad you are ok. I told you I've been there. Do me a favor and take care of your emotion from this. It was a traumatic experience yes. I've been watching your post. Maybe get a couple therapy sessions in to deal with this. I'm so sorry about the other people and wish it didn't happen. Please take care of yourself. Have a great day, it's beautiful outside.

Fyre, I'm glad that you are ok, are you able to go back into the apartment or will you have to relocate until the building can be renovated?

Thank you for all the support! I was able to return here around 8:30 this morning. There was electricity but no water/cable/Internet so I've been in the same clothes for a long time and I smell like crap lol so just waiting for the Water. They have the Red Cross here giving ppl Water and food. This was defiantly an event I won't forget for a long time.

Thank you Fyre for the update. Things will gradually get back to normal in time. A shout out to the Red Cross who have people that do wonderful work in times of crisis. Oh the things we take for granted in our lives. Praying you get running Water soon. Take care of yourself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
