Sorry, to keep asking questions lol but what type of Protein Drink?

You should start losing...my pre op was almost the same 2 shakes and a lean cuisine for dinner one week then one week 4 shakes a day only no meal ...

How many days have you done your pre op so far?

Wow that's a long time on that diet...I would contact my surgeons office for suggestions.

You could try switching to another type of diet.

I was on a diet the same as this for 12 months and seeing a dietician every week. I only lost 15 kgs (30+ pounds). I should have lost a heap more and it was really expensive, about the same as the out of pocket for my VSG.

The reason I didn't lose is because I wasn't sticking to it, because I was bloody starving!! You've been on a really restrictive diet for a long time which is hard (read: impossible) but are you sticking to it? because I couldn't!

All the best,

Deano

It was hard and I mean hard for me to do it for two weeks. I can't imagine 6 months.

It is worth it! Once you get surgery it will be easy to eat the right amounts and not feel hungry. It's an amazing tool.

You should maybe give yourself a mix up for about a week.

Maybe healthy eatting for 7 days then back to shakes and salads.

Maybe do this every other week?

Mate there's hard and then there's setting people up to fail.

I admire your commitment. You will rock your sleeve!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
