Yes definitely. Its so hard I've always been so independent and being a single mom kinda puts u in the rapid healing mode. Lol.

Yeah, moms are not allowed to get sick or slow down for any reason. The earth would absolutey stand still! :)

How long were you in hospital?

Not sure who you were asking, but I'll answer anyway. :) I was in the hospital for two days - surgery on a Thursday and went home Saturday.

That was a quick turn-around. I'm glad the program I went through plans for two nights. I don't think I would have been anywhere near ready after just one day. How long was your surgery?

That's cool. Mine was supposed to be about 2 hours and 15 minutes. It ended up lasting a little over 4 hours. The surgeon had trouble with scars from the lapband he had to take out. I was kind of in sucks-to-be-me-ville for a while. :P I'm glad that's over with.

Oh. WOW! How long did u have the lap band?

For almost five years. I actually had two of them. I had an erosion with the first and it had to be removed less than a year after it was put in and then the second one I had to have a port revision after 2 years and then it slipped and it had to be removed. So, I opted to get the sleeve when they removed the band. I'd have to say I did not have very good luck with lapband. While it was working it was good, but I guess that wan't meant to be for me in the long run.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
