I was December 20th also. I am feeling much better. Had terrible pain in and around my largest incision. I have lost 27 pounds since I came home from hospital, but most of that is Water from all the IV. Was hungry yesterday for he first time. Usually I have to make myself have a drink

Or shake, but a couple times yesterday I was hungry. I actually had a cheese stick. It was so good!!! No problems!!!

Wow Andrew! Sounds likes you're doing great!

I was also sleeved on 12/20. I moved to mushie food over the weekend. I think I took it a little too fast and today I've gone back to mostly liquids, yogurt and mashed potatoes.

I find it hard to take all my meds during the day. I've been cutting them in half, and now it seems like double the amount (lol, it is)! I'm nervous about taking a WHOLE pill!

I'm seeing my doctor this Thursday for the first time. His office and my husband's work schedule were hard to coordinate for an appointment any sooner.

So far - so good.

Googie, what type of shakes? I haven't been given any instructions for Protein shakes - don't even know what products are available....curious to know.

Be well!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
