  6. Hi all, hope everyone is feel good. This type of right side pain just began yesterday....but I'm 4 months post op. I don't know if it's even related to the surgery or not. I'm not sure what is even in that location now that my gallbladder has also been removed....lol. Any ideas?
  7. I've been experiencing the same type of pinch or pull on the right side - - which started yesterday - the only difference is that I'm over 4 months post op!! This is curious to me....I've had smooth sailing up until now. Maybe it's not even related to the sleeve surgery. They removed my gallbladder at the same time....so it can't be that either. Does anyone have any ideas?

  9. Sleeved 12/20 - down 28 pounds....seems slow to me.... but I don't weigh myself everyday.....doctor has approved starting exercise on treadmill next week!! Good luck to everyone and a very happy and healthy 2013 to all of us!
  10. Yup - mine does this all the time too. Sleeved 12/20/12. Doesn't bother me....just reminds me everything is working!

  12. Sleeved 12/20 and feeling ups and down in energy. I was on liquids only for the few days in the hospital and a couple at home. Started adding milk and yogurt quickly. No eating purees. Trying to get all the liquid in, don't have a Protein goal yet. Meeting on Sunday with NUT. Seeing surgeon on Tuesday. Hoping for some more structure. Trouble getting all the pills down during the day. I cut them up, but then there are more of them! Each day I try to do a little bit more. Starting back to work next week - and hoping to have the energy to work my full day (10:30 - 6:00). I'm determined to take it slow and easy!

  17. Relax, trust your doctor....we'll hear from you on the losing side! Be strong!
  18. Be patient Trinity. I also wanted to move ahead....tired of water and tea. I'm at day 13 post op and have been able to have mashed potatoe and mashed meatball! So thrilled! Step by step. It's worth the wait! Stay strong. Yael
  19. Have you been checking in with your doctor? Maybe the pain meds are adding to your symptoms. I've had fleeting moments of thinking "OMG - What the hell did I do", but it passes (like the gas ). All the good things will outweight the bad. Just give it time and check in with your DR!. Good Luck and keep us posted. Yael

Thanks for sharing. Many people here can relate to what you are feeling. Choosing to do something about it is important! Good luck on your journey and Happy New Year!
  22. Thanks Frank. I really have had a very easy time, I thought I had nothing to post!!! We all need to share the good and the bad. So sad to think the scary stuff makes some run away. Getting sleeved was the best decision I could make (even with some little ups and downs). I was sleeved 12/20 and like you have never vomited and have been able to drink. I kept wondering why it's so easy. The people on the site have such complications! Did the doctor really remove all he should have? LOL Frank, have a great new year and keep strong!

  24. Thanks!!! And a very happy new year to you!!!
  25. Sounds great. Think I'm gonna try a veggie version with non-chicken - chicken broth.
  26. Wow Andrew! Sounds likes you're doing great! I was also sleeved on 12/20. I moved to mushie food over the weekend. I think I took it a little too fast and today I've gone back to mostly liquids, yogurt and mashed potatoes. I find it hard to take all my meds during the day. I've been cutting them in half, and now it seems like double the amount (lol, it is)! I'm nervous about taking a WHOLE pill! I'm seeing my doctor this Thursday for the first time. His office and my husband's work schedule were hard to coordinate for an appointment any sooner. So far - so good. Googie, what type of shakes? I haven't been given any instructions for Protein shakes - don't even know what products are available....curious to know. Be well!
  27. Hey You December Sleevers!!!! The new year is just around the corner. We have so much to look forward too!!! How is everyone doing? I was sleeved on 12/20/12. I progressed to puree over the weekend and things seem okay so far. Anyone else? I have some soreness on my right side, but I don't know if that's from the gallbladder removal or the sleeve! lol Seeing my Dr. for the first time this Thursday. Hope I get the okay to go back to work (at least part time) cuz I'm starting to go stir-crazy at home! Love to hear from other Dec. Sleevers!!! Yael
  28. I took my toothbrush, socks and slippers. Something comfy to wear home. Brought my regular meds, but didn't take while there anyway. Maybe a book to read. Good Luck
