  1. Surgery was on 12/14. No pain past the hospital, think I took 1 dose of pain meds when I got home, and that was only because I was scared! No physical probs at all. My only complaint is the slight change of taste and feel of food and liquids going down, but at less than 3 weeks out, what did I expect?? I'm sure a year from now I'll look back and not even remember my petty little issues. Work has been fine, but I have it easy at work (at a desk), so I can do pretty much whatever I need, whenever I need to. Have you experimented at all with food, or are you just staying with a few things? Ya gotta branch out, be crazy, put hot sauce on your scrambled egg

  3. Going well. One more week of soft foods then I get to try some other options. Of course, it never seems to go as fast as we would like. It seems like the last 3 weeks have been moving slower than a stoned snail!!! I have had moments of, "holy crap, what have I done." But I know that will pass! I'm currently at my first day back to work and no pain, no problems!
  4. Just about 3 weeks post-op. Haven't been on in a while. Hope everyone had a great holiday season!

  6. Lesbian, married (legally in Iowa), getting sleeved 12/14/12! Soooooo happy to see this group. We should keep the discussions going! People who think WLS is selfish or somehow doing it the "easy" way have no idea how much work it actually is (and I'm pre-op!). Don't let any of them wreck your feelings. They need a different sort of help. I have been very please that the vast majority of people I have discussed this with have been extremely supportive. My coworkers have been great!
  7. Got married to my super wife in Iowa 3 years ago!

  9. So glad to see you all in here! My wife and I live in sunny Central Florida just north of the mouse! Surgery date is December 14, 2012. So close and yet so far (2 week liquid diet starts in 3 days). It has been a haul to get here!
