12/31 surgery date - 1st time in a long time that I am excited for NYE

My surgery is set for the 31st.. super pumped and ready to start 2013 with a bang

No real pre-op diet - have to do liquids and MagCit on Sunday.

Only concern... on my pre-op visit I had gained 4 lbs since October when my start weight was recorded at 264... I have to drop those but was pretty sure it was a combo of water weight and Xmas parties. I was also fully dressed.

I am doing high protein now and limited carbs and drinking my weight in water. Trying not to step on the scale every hour.

Between that and the MagCit, I believe that the loss should be doable.

Anyone foresee any issues with switching to all liquids early - Saturday and Sunday? I don't want any last minute surprises.

Also, any other 12/31 surgery dates?

I just started on FitnessPal too as Ursomajor3460.

My surgery date is also 12/31, congrats!!

What is MagCit?

Magnesium Citrate - it's a saline laxative for bowel prep... start it in just a little over 12 hours...

I think I might actually be getting a little nervous...

Congrats!

Putting a prayer for you.

Dec 31st here as well :) good luck ladies! Serious New Years resolution for us! I'm excited for our future :)

Congrats Jaime!

I'm also starting to feel nervous. I think I'll get a pre-op massage tomorrow to relax me!!

How funny! I'm going with a friend and getting a mani/pedi to relax me lol

Mine is 12/31 at 10am :).

Happy to hear I am not alone!

Oh my goodness ladies!! Countdown has started! I guess I should start getting a hospital bag together. Eeeeep!

Yeah me too! What is everyone packing? My checkin is at 10am and surgery at noon!

I'm packing some pj's so I won't be stuck in a hospital gown if I don't want to be. I'm bringing my pillow ( I work at the hospital and the pillows are flat!) :) toothpaste/brush and stuff to wash my face as well as some lotion. It's really dry here! And technology! Kindle and laptop :)

I check in at 8 and surgery at 10. Eeeeep!!

I stopped at Walmart today and picked up my GasX, listerine breath strips, chapstick, Halls Vitamin drops... otherwise, PJs, pillow, basic toiletries, hoodie and some slipper socks... iPad is loaded with new books and I think I am ready to go... filled all scripts today and already have to start an argument with my insurance over my Nexium prescription...
