  1. Stalled for 6 weeks but down to a size 9...not getting discouraged just trying to find ways to move the needle. Any suggestions? I added in 2 more days of cardio and am going to see the NUT next week (although she is not very helpful). I noticed my family is treating me differently. Some people stopped talking to me all together. Anyone else have a similar situation? How are you dealing with it?
  2. Running in the mud run for the 2nd year in a row tomorrow! Except this time I am about 70 pounds lighter and READY to go! Wooo hooo

    Chubby Girl Mind

You will be surprised about where you end up...I told myself I would be happy with 14, but quickly moved past that to a 10! Much luck to you!

    Chubby Girl Mind

I went into Dress Barn back in May. They have plus size to the left and other sizes to the right. I stood there trying to figure out where to go! I felt like I wasn't allowed on the "other side." It was very weird and confusing. Flash forward to last week, I said "f it", walked into Victoria Secret and asked to be fitted for a bra. It was awesome! It has taken me some time to wrap my head around everything to where shopping is fun.

    No weight loss--why?

I am having the same problem and doing about the same as you. This week I am increasing my calories to 1000-1200 and drinking 70oz+ of water. Hoping it helps (worked last time!)

    Please be honest...

I do the same thing! Love it!

    Escape.....

As a woman, I AGREE about the support groups! The ones I attended were crazy and useless. This lady was whining because her cat wanted a treat, and why should the cat have a treat and not her. Are you kidding me?

    Stopped losing weight

I run through the following checklist when I don't lose for a few days: - Am I drinking 64+ of water? This is my main culprit. - Am I getting in 60+ of protein? - Am I taking all my vitamins? - Calorie check - I will raise for a few days, then drop a couple days. - Carb check - I will lower to 20-30/day - How much did I exercise? 3-4 days/week - Is it that time of the month? - Am I obsessing too much over the scale? Usually if I take a week break and do the other things noted above, I will lose. - What are my NSVs, I can always find one (ex. I found my neck bone, or dropped a size, or finally did 20 burpees without dying)

    Ate too much

I have seen them at Walmart for five bucks, def going to try them. I get sick a lot from eating too fast, about twice a week. I usually have to throw up, or slime. It is so gross! I will learn, I am a hardhead!

    3 month follow up!

It annoys the crap out of me when drs say things like that. How is that encouraging? I understand some drs are being realistic or trying to manage expectations. All stats I have read say 50-80% of excess weight can be lost. Keep working hard, following the plan, and setting goals. Prove him wrong
  15. I asked my NUT about calories, carbs, fat, etc. She told me 1200 cal, 30-40 carbs, watch the fat but didn't give me a #. I actually only eat 800 on a high day, 30 carbs or less. It is weird, I will stall a week but I drop a size. My body is catching up, I believe. I do a cardio boot camp 4x a week and have a Protein bar or shake for some extra energy. It helped me to breakup with the scale, we see each other 1x a week. It keeps me from obsessing and being cranky when I don't see what I like. You are doing great. Keep it up!

    Constant mild headache?

Are you getting your water in OK?
  17. I read a similar post before my surgery and it helped me a lot! I am in the same boat as you, Jason - no complications, no problems eating, loving the transformation Much luck to you in the journey!

    I got my first...

My friend said:"I can't believe insurance paid for YOUR surgery and not my infertility treatments. I can't control my issues." I told her that was a mean comment to make and while I understand why she would feel that way, it was insensitive. She apologized and is one of my biggest supporters. Sometimes people don't realize their comments or statements are insensitive.

  20. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/t-birds-beef-jerky/detail.aspx I make my own in the oven. It is fun to do. I get sesina from the Mexican market, marinate in teriyaki and pepper and a little bit of salt overnight. I posted a fancier recipe too. It comes out so good!

Any ladies out there have PCOS put your hands up!

well, I am not a nurse or dr, just someone who has seen it almost resolve itself since the surgery. I would think it has something to do with the portion of my stomach being removed that had the horror-mone grehlin? Also, my diet has DRASTICALLY changed from crap and carbs to mainly protein, water, and low-carb foods. In addition my calorie intake is probably a third of what it was before. My body did fight (stall, if you want to call it that) for a couple of weeks but then it caught up and I started losing again.
