I have had laser treatment on chin and upper lip hair. It worked GREAT, but I did like 6-8 treatments and two years later it is like I never did them - well, there are fewer hairs, but it is still an issue so it is not permanent for me and my hairs were dark on fair skin. I am hearing that others have similiar results - it is great as long as you keep doing painful expensive treatments. Waxing is sounding better since it seems like it is the same basic thing, hair quantity reduces, but you still need to keep doing it and it is cheaper for sure.

I might try coochy on some inner thigh/bikini area as that will be very telling if it helps. i have used other cremes intended for sensitive skin and it never helped... but hey, that was a few years ago so maybe things are better now. But, I must ask, where does one find a product called "Coochy" i never saw it at the local grocery store! :)

Okay, so you can get it at a lot of places but the cheapest place to find it online is a site called www.cheaplubes.com of you want to find it in person, look for an upscale adult boutique. It's meant for shaving your private areas so is found at places like that. That site is also the cheapest place to find lubes by far! Try it out and see what you think!

Laser hair removal is too expensive but I'm going in Thursday to get electrolysis on my chin hair :( Unfortunately I've grown tired of plucking and need something that's proven to be very effective. Of course it's a long process but from what I read the laser doesn't work well on dark skin. I had my wax today and it was a lot more painful than I remembered but she was very quick and nice.I always feel so insecure about my vag area, even though I've never had any complaints. It still feels weird having someone down there lol. *Drinking wine*

Coochy is sold by Pure Romance. You can order at a party or by going to www.pureromance.com

Coochy cream is just about the same consistency of conditioner. I find that works just as well and is a lot less expensive lol!

I wouldn't get it from Pure Romance, they charge double what other places charge for a smaller amount. My friends just give me cash and I make a huge order online..so so so much cheaper!

Just buy CHEAP hair conditioner! It's works just as well, it's MUCH less expensive and you don't get embarrassed if your stepdad sees it in your shower. ;)

I think I'm in the minority here... I like it au naturel, & not afraid to use my hands to hold back a few strays here & there. Better than stubble burn on my face... ;} Only requirement...gotta be clean--& air dried!! No lint or schmegma, please!! Haha

Guess I'm in the minority with you, girl! LOL

One of the pluses of being in a long-term relationship I guess...at the end of the day all I care is it's clean. Love my fuzzy bear! :D

Try using Shave Secret from Walmart. It gets my boys nice and smooth with no rash or bumps.

Okay, we have totally taken over this topic...lol... I experimented with using a very rich conditioner on Sunday. Today, Wednesday and I do have a few small bumps, but not bad. I am still thinking about waxing in the future though, there isn't really enough regrowth to shave after 3 days, but it is not smooth smooth smooth either - thinking that waxing will keep the smooth feeling alot longer.

Yes, it will. Plus the regrowth will be finer, ad won't have the blunt tip that shaving produces. So it won't feel like stubble.

Getting graphic here but I decided not to do the wax because it's like 60 bucks around here. EEK! Why couldn't Santa bring me a gift card. So i'm going back to shaving. I'm thinking of just shaving the bikini line and trimming the rest. Do you girls shave between your legs? I don't usually get razor bumps there so it's mainly the mons area where I get bumps. Anyway! Hopefully not TMI or too personal questions.

I totally can't commit to waxing for financial reasons and just a pain having to go every few weeks to get waxed again. I use the shick quarto that has a razor along with mini shaving clippers perfect for the bikini area. I recently bought that and now it's the only thing I use. I also can shave nicely on the upper legs/thighs with no problems. Hope this helps.

I'm nervous about the idea of getting a Brazilian wax or even a bikini wax. Once I get my weight under control that is... Is it worth it? How long does it last typically?

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!
