Surgery day -1, clear liquids

Well, I did it, my first week of full liquids. I was nervous that I would cheat, but honestly, I did well.

I lost 5 pounds in 6 days. Yeah, I wish it had been more, but I'll take what I can get.

Today, is Clear Liquids. I made red Jello, does that count as a clear liquid?

Anyway, I'm not as nervous as I thought I would be. I did all the research, read most forums on this site, seen the good, bad, and ugly. I am stronger than I thought.

Emotions? Running thru the gammit. On Wednesday, I was thinking, 'what have I gotten myself into?'; almost considered cancelling the surgery. So glad I didn't.

Today, I am going to a boat parade (I live in SW Florida). There will be lots of food to tempt me. My Dr. offered jello w/protein pre-packaged at the office so I bought some. I'm going to take the jello, and some broth with me, so I can look like I'm eating along with everyone else.

Lastly, my loving and supportive mother flew down from NJ to be with me after surgery. I am truly blessed.

For you prayer warriors out there, I would appreciate a prayer be sent my way.

I went through those emotions as well. I am 10 months out, 108 pounds down from starting weight, 2 pounds from goal, and enjoying much outside exercise in the glorious Florida sun.

Beautiful area!!!! So much to do, too!

That area was my pick for where to move to from Ohio but I have a family with say-so and Dade City worked out better for us,....for now.
