I went to my first doctor's appointment on October 9, 2012. Morbidly obese. Like I had not just seen a recent picture of myself that blew me away. Was I really THAT heavy? Time to face the fact, YES, I am obese.
My insurance does not cover the procedure, so I started the process of refinancing my home. I was hoping to have the procedure done over the Christmas holiday, but closing won't be till January 2013.
I already started with protein drinks in the morning, and adding chia seeds to my diet. I'm struggling with letting the carbs go though. But I'm very aware when I eat them now.

November 2, 2012: I scheduled my surgery for december 17, 2012. Excited and nervous at the same time.
