Your hormones may be out of whack for a little while...just go with the flow, get lots of rest and focus on yourself and recovering. :) It's normal, and it'll pass.

Thanks :) I'm trying lol. That's probably the biggest problem is I haven't been able to sleep so that's probably making me cranky!

sleeping was hard for me, too! And I had no energy. The good times are coming, I promise. :)

sleep is so important to recovery and lack of it can really have a negative impact on mood as well. I was having a hard time sleeping starting immediately after surgery. I just couldn't get comfortable. My mom suggested a body pillow and went out to Bed Bath & Beyond and got me one for less than $20. It changed everything. I sleep better than I ever did and think it is having a really positive impact on my recovery. My husband named the body pillow Steve. The three of us are very happy together. :)

I kept to myself for the first 4 weeks after surgery. I just wanted to be by myself and recover. I also wanted to reach mushies so I could eat at places they went.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
