Sleeved yesterday!

Recommended Posts

Just got home a little while ago. So glad to be out of the hospital.

I'm very tired and sore, and dealing with gas pains and occasional nausea. Trying to get my clear fluids in, but having a rough time. Hoping to start feeling human again soon.

Anyone care to give me a pep talk, because I could sure use one right now! I'll start to feel better soon, right?

Take it slow! the 2 things you need to worry about is 1. healing and 2. drinking your liquids very slow! You will feel better and better ea. day. Hang in there! You can do this!

I had a horrible time with liquids and a friend told me to set a timer and take another sip every 15 minutes. That saved me from getting dehydrated.

Just think in another few days, weeks, months you will be so happy and feel FANTASTIC!!! You can do it!

You will feel better. Remember that with anything it takes time to adjust. Sip, sip, sip take it slow. Be gentle with yourself. Do the best you can and you will see that each day it is a little better. Before you know it, this phase will be in the past. I'm only a week out from my surgery so not an expert, but after having spent 27 years in health care I do know that you need to be gentle with yourself. Don't fret, just do the best you can each day. Hang in there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
