Well I guess this makes me 3 days post op. I'm doing well. The pain meds are helping. I'm getting in liquids just not as much as the doc wants. Yesterday I had about 24oz and the doc wants 48oz of Clear Liquids. I'm urinating more than 3 times a day so I figure I'm hydrated. It's really weird that I can physically feel how small my stomach is now. I'm stuck in my recliner and really want my bed. I'm able to walk around the house several times a day. I think I'm doing ok but I just wish I could sleep in my own bed. Last night I slept longer than any other time since the surgery. Just wanted to give my update.

Hi, I had surgery 12/5. doesn't it feel good to be home? I too am finally sleeping 3 to 4 hours at a time instead of waking up every hour like I was at the hospital. I am in my bed but rolling over on my side to get up reminds me I am sore. Keep sipping!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
