Pre op diet & cooking for family

Recommended Posts

How it going for everyone on pre op liquid only diet? First day I've actually had to cook, omg the house smells heavenly. Son was at his dads first few days at dinner time, fiancé been eating at his place. Their both home tonight and I'd kill to even lick the carrots! Lol!

How's everyone handling it? ;)

I'm doing ok on my preop. Admittedly I'm bored with it - but I am keeping pretty satisfied with Protein Shakes in terms of hunger. I have a feeling if you ask me a week from now I might be singing a different tune lol.

My first day of preop went pretty well, its 5 here and I feel okay about it so far. I'm not much of a night eater so ill be good.

Don't think it'll do any damage for you to lick a carrot lol!

I'm on day 2 and cooking for the family. You are right everything smells delicious. I am able to have a salad for dinner so I just make sure to wait until they starting what I've cooked for me to eat my salad. It's not the same, but at least its something:-) Good Luck!

I'm on day four of twelve weeks. I'm doing great so far. Today was an easy day. Yesterday was brutal. I work in a convenience store. I have to tend to the hotdogs and sausages and all the yummy fast "convenience store foods" ALL DAY LONG I'm straightening up Doritos, stocking candy, snack cakes and beef sticks. I just plan on taking it one day at a time.

Bless you sarandipityhappen I think I'd hurt someone. I'm already super grouchy! Had to quit smoking and no caffeine, now no foods but have to keep telling myself I get sleeved Monday ill survive. I know we're on this same diet post sleeve but figure the nausea and pain will make me now care about what everyone's eating lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
