I researched plication thoroughly before deciding on the sleeve. They don't turn the stomach inside out, they fold it over on itself and sew it...think of a pumpkin role. You can watch Dr. Cottam do it on YouTube, who is my surgeon BTW. We talked about it but they are finding that it is not reversible like they thought.... The stomach grows together over the stitches and there is a lot of scar tissue. If you really want to know about it, I suggest you go to sleeveplicationtalk.com or the lap band forums and look for the plication section.
In the end, if it is not reversible, then sleeve is a much better option imo.

I have had pcos for 13 years, and never got periods on my own. Did 2 years infertility treatments before getting pregnant finally. Since surgery 6 weeks ago I have had 2 perfectly timed periods and I ovulated on my own in between. My hair growth is mainly on my face, and I've noticed that getting better. It grows slower. Amy, you can post about whatever you like. You don't need to do a search or follow anyone's criteria. There are new people on this forum joining daily. I think those who are so bored or annoyed with the topics need to LOG OFF! Whining about whining is just as annoying. I personally like to come on the gastric sleeve forum to talk about the gastric sleeve and all it entails. I'm not sure what people expect.

This has got to be one of the worst things I have read on this forum. If all you can do is attack people with your snarky, condescending, self righteousness then please refrain from posting on my threads in the future. I didn't post here to be attacked & treated like an idiot. Responses like yours are the reason that new members are afraid to post, because they don't want to be treated this way. For you to assume that I must have gone into this blindly is completely judgmental. I researched for over a year, and my form of research was more than looking at before & after photos. I read medical journals, research studies, death rates, complication rates, personal stories...I knew exactly what I was getting into physically & emotionally. That doesn't mean it isn't hard, and that there aren't moments of regret. And someone in that moment needs support that they did the right thing. They need a safe place to vent, not to be talked down when they are already feeling badly. It isn't as if I ate a cheese burger 10 days out and came here asking for absolution and to be cottled. I came here venting that I was frustrated with this process which, last I checked, doesn't mean I am the uneducated idiot you make me out to be.
In the future you should refrain from commenting on peoples post until you can say something constructive that adds a useful voice to the conversation instead of beating someone over the head. But I don't know, maybe that's how you treat one another in the outback.

That's strange all my time reading here I have never heard of that!
For the first 2 weeks my ears and then entire head would buzz loudly while eating or drinking but its gone now. There are some strange things that happen after this operation!
