1 Week Post-Op And Think I'm Dehydrated

Recommended Posts

I am seven days out and is still having a very hard time getting a regular sized bottle of Water down in one day. I think today is the first day that I was feeling a little dehydrated so I am going to have to force the liquids. I have not introduced anything else into my diet because Water presents such a discomfort; I'm sure heavier liquids would definitely hurt more.

How are you addressing your Protein needs?

I had my sleeve this past Monday Dec3. I am getting my fluids in with crystal light, chicken broth, Protein Shakes, sf Jello and sf Popsicles. But Constipation is bad right now. About to send my hubby out for a suppository. Cuz I've already tried drinking milk of magnesia, but it's awful and I don't want to chance it making me puke. Any other suggestions?!!!

My dr told me prune juice and it worked better than the milk I magnesium!

Are u allowed baby food yet? A jar of purreed prunes would be better than meds. You need lots of liquids going in for things like collace or senacot to help. If you don't you will end up even more constipated. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
