4 hours to go before surgery! Feeling pretty good, but woke up sweating at 4am this morning with a panic attack - "what the %$#@ am I doing?!" Today is better, I'm in good spirits and nervous just a little. Anxious to be on the other side! I'm as prepared as I can possibly be; I've been reading this great website for months now, talked with sleevers, and prayed. Does anyone have one piece of advice before I go in? Thanks.

Thanks All! I'm sleeved! I've officially had it about 24 hours. All of my fears were completely a waste of my time, surgery could not have been smoother. No issues, no nausea, no leaks and I'm moving around the house easily. I'm still on a little hydrocodone for pain, but honestly the pain was never really more than a 5 on a scale of 1-10. (I've had kidney stones before so I know what pain feels like :). So now I'm drinking small sips of Water and Protein Shake, trying to get as much in as possible. Some burps occasionally right after swallowing, and occassional hiccups. But overall, much, much easier than I expected! So far, so good. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for your support!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
