So, tomarrow I can start adding new foods one at a time. So far I haven't had any problems. Sometimes soft meat feels heavy in my chest for awhile, but other than that I'm good. Have any of you been eating popcorn? And how has it agreed with you? It's my favorite snack. Popped with olive oil, and sprinkled with brewers yeast. Really really good. Anywho, I am a little nervous about it, but could sure use the fiber! Thanks for your input!

popcorn is allowed by my dr and nut within moderation. I don't eat it though because I don't like it. I'd ask your dr what his thoughts are

Does Brewers Yeast expand after eating?

If so, say away from that part for sure.

Im only two weeks out, so no advice on the popcorn...

I'm 3 weeks out and had a handful of popcorn. It didn't bother me at all.

If popcorn does work for you, be careful. For some, popcorn is a slider food and could lead to a fall down a slippery slope. If you are safe around popcorn and won't eat too much, then I think some popcorn would be fine. I used to inhale popcorn, any type of popcorn, as it was my favorite food pre sleeve. If I ate popcorn post sleeve, I would probably be the first one at the bottom of the slope.

I absolutely totally agree. On Tuesdays at work, we have a group come in to sell popcorn. We have one of those popcorn machines AT work, and can pop it anytime, but it's always nice to have someone ELSE pop it. It is to DIE for. I've only had that once since my surgery - and only a cup and gave the rest of my bag to someone else. I've gone back to my "rule" of only eating the Orville Reddenbacher mini bags of popcorn at 100 calories - and even then maybe once a week. I need to stick with the OTHER rule -- Protein FIRST.

All great advice I have had popcorn once since my surgery Oct 8. And I had no problems eating it. But then it doesn't take much of it to satisfy our tiny tummy now. Lol!! Enjoy see how it feels in your stomach.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
