I am in the same boat. I lost 21 lbs before surgery. I am only 2 weeks out and have not lost any weight since surgery. I just keep doing what I'm supposed to and am hoping that at some point the scale will show some losses. Hang in there. I feel your pain.

I'm in the same boat. All week I've been stalled. I lost about 47 pounds in a month (2 weeks pre-vsg and two weeks post), then BOOM, nada for a week. I'm pretty sure it's because my body's going crazy about a lack of calories considering I'm running about a 2,000 calorie defecit per day. When you have restricted caloric intake for a little while, the body loses weight like crazy. Then (thanks, ancestors!) it goes "OSHI... I'M STARVING!" and your metabolism drops and your body goes in to protection mode. There's also replenishing glycogen (short term energy) that requires 8 lbs of Water to go with it.

Stick with what you're supposed to do, but also try to get in some exercise (I was the worst at this until I felt good enough to walk). Other tactics can be eating every couple hours to help your body remember it's not starving and upping your caloric intake to trick the body in to reupping the metabolism. I'm trying the latter two today, though man, does eating make me sick XP

You have to eat to lose. I was on a stall for a couple weeks. Increased my calorie in take and lost 10 lbs in 3 days. It's hard when you are at a phase that doesn't allow much more in your system but remember it will come off. And if the scale isn't moving check your measurements. You can lose inches without losing lbs.

Yeah, it's the eating part that's troublesome. I decided to up my caloric intake to try and get out of my stall and even with my best efforts, I've not even managed 800 calories and I feel like I've done nothing *but* eat all day. Granted, that's about 200 calories more than usual, but it's nowhere near approaching a normal day of calories.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
