Recommended Posts

Am 2 days post sleeve and still up 2 pounds since my hospital stay. When does the weight loss phase kick in? I know it is different for everyone.

You are probably still retaining Water. I had gained 7 pounds after surgery and it took me a week to lose it again. Don't rush it you will lose weight, be patient.

everyone is different. my advice, please don't weigh yourself everyday. i know that it is tempting, and you may have to have someone hide the scale to accomplish it, but, if you weigh once a week, you're less likely to be dissappointed.

it took a few days to kick in for me.

I gained 15 lbs during surgery yes 15 lbs, so It took me about a week before that Water weight fell off then I had a stall for the next two weeks.... so the first month I lost about only 9 lbs but the second month it really came off. I am just starting my 3rd month now and been on a stall again for a week. so be paitent it will come off. I have lost 63 lbs so far that includes pre op, I went from a size 26 to an 18 . I can wear 1x comfortably with out a problem and some XL depending what it is ... cant wait to loose more ..........

Thanks guys! I just needed to hear what was "normal". Can't wait to be a loser, but honestly, I'm not in a big hurry. I lost 50 pre op and I already feel great. Just curious how it went or some people.

Put on 13 lbs from the fluids they pumped into me for the surgery. That was gone in about 8 or 9 days. Have list a total of about 43 lbs but as someone else said I am trying to stay away from the scale!! I am down three pant sizes which I am thrilled about . Surgery was 9/10. Hang in you will do great!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
