Some form of Protein shake (which you have), chicken broth, bottled Water, a food scale, tiny forks, spoons and plates, a MEASURING SPOON for your pain meds in the RIGHT FORMAT (mL or tsp), a heating pad, and beef broth.< /p>

Don't over-buy anything. You may hate everything you bought pre-op after surgery.

Crystal light or sweeten Water with 0 cal. like Fruit2O

I notice that I cannot drink regular water after surgery. I mean it doesn't taste right. but I still continue to drink my Fruit2O. I would suggest to find or buy small cups and small plates.

right after the surgery I was able to drink only form expresso cups which contain only 2.5 oz. and I bought cup with measure inside so when I eat chicken broth I can put 1/4 cup. ( I cannot eat more) Also before surgery I bought Isopure and wasn't able to drink 8 oz from 1 time. it has after taste. but after surgery isopure was my friend. it was the Protein Drink I was able to put inside myself. I ate tea spoon, I don't use the baby spoon. also has different spices at home. if you cook yourself the chicken broth will taste different if you will use different spices and you will not be tired from the same food.< /p>

what I found most useful right after surgery was , very comfortable pajamas, a great new book, make sure you have a comfortable place to sit or lay down ... lots of extra pillows a plus...... broth , Jello SF, Popscilcles. just dont over buy .... I bought way too much jello and hate it now... small containers to eat from once you start to eat and baby spoons, they have been a life saver to help me keep from eating too fast

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
