I was sleeved yesterday and I'm on Clear Liquids today. I've been getting mean hiccups since last night. I hold my breath and they go away but they always come back. Anyone else have this problem? What'd you do?

I was sleeved on July 11th and I get the hiccups often, especially after I eat and am full.

Yup, hiccups or burps are common to signal satiety. Soon you will start to feel the satiety point before the hiccups. It took me about 2 months before reaching this step towards sleeve enlightenment.

I still get hiccups quite frequently especially when I am full. Even before surgery I think I got them more often than most people but it has gotten worse since the procedure.

Let me add I've been getting the since last night when I'd been fasting 24 hours. I haven't had anything today but 1 cup of broth, a half cup of Jello and Water.< /p>

it is probably related to the gas from surgery.

I would have to agree with hawkihoops. It is probably the gas they used to blow up your belly to see that is irritating your diaphragm which causes hiccups.

I'm 7 months out and get hiccups almost daily post meal and I've had them since first day post op... It's my "full" signal. It's very short (2 min or so) but they still happen.

Nothing to worry about- hiccups happen! ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
