Fantastic! I remember that it felt difficult to swallow, or at least very different, in the first day or two. Just take it slow and be patient with yourself. It is really easy to swallow air. Some people say don't use a straw, others say use one. For me, I found that using a straw helped me to not swallow air and made it easier to drink. Don't let yourself get dehydrated! It will feel like just about all you do all day long is drink, but you are really just taking little sips constantly.

Congratulations, glad to hear your doing good. It is sad to see that some people have horrible pain and throw up so it is nice to hear from someone who is doing good. I also did not have many problems.

Congrats!! welcome to the Losers bench!! haha, and wow really? no pain and no nausea?! I'm very surprised, but happy for you... its a pain in the ass the gas I had inside. I wasn't able to get it out quickly enough. Take advantage of your two week liquid diet, Don't CHEAT because this is where you will lose the most weight! :-D

best of luck!!

Congrats!! Im 3 days postop. No problems swallowing but cannot manage to get minimum 48oz of liquids down. I feel so full all the time and get very uncomfortable when I try to force liquids. For swallowing my dr recommended taking small sip, breathe all the way OUT of your nose, and then swallow. Supposed to eliminate the air. Hope this helps

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
