My Uniform Lady Went To Bat For Me Today!

today was an awesome day. My employer provides uniforms for us. I have had to switch sizes 2x since surgery. Our provider charges extra for more than 2 changes a year, so my work generally won't do it. Today, yet again, I asked for new sizes. I started the year at 56" waist, dropped to 50", dropped again to 46", and today, I asked fo 38". (woohoo btw) at first I was told the only way they would make the change would be if I covered the extra charge. However, my uniform lady told them that I was on a wellness program and that I may still need another by the end of the year and that I shouldn't be punished for getting healthy. My employer ate the charge, and congratulated me on my success so far. Banner day!

Btw, I will be 38 next month. When I graduated hs in '93, I wore a 38" waist. How sexy do I feel today! Started at 373, sleeved on June 5, currently a 236! 61 pounds from goal after only 5 months? Holy crap. I love life!

Wow! What a great accomplishment. I really enjoyed reading your post and felt as if I was seeing you trying on those uniforms! Thanks for the smile. I look forward to my pants falling off too! lmao

That is the best story!! Love it and very happy for you :))))

Yay!

Congratulations! Kudos to your uniform lady for not only recognizing your amazing accomplishment, but also for advocating on your behalf for now and for the future! Kudos also to your employer for recognizing your healthy choice is going to benefit them as well and that you should be rewarded!

WOW!! What progress! Congratulations!

Congratulations! I am glad to see someone with the same starting weight as me. It gives me hope, I am at 4 weeks today and have only lost 20 pounds :-(

don't sweat it buddy. it'll come off. the best thing is to not compare yourself with others, because all of our roads are different, and it's way to easy to get discouraged. only 20? but ask yourself, when was the last time that you lost 20 pounds that you will never regain? in 4 weeks. you are doing great.

good luck

First of all...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

This is going to be an issue for me. But unlike you I have to buy my uniforms and shirts run 85.00 and pants are 100.00 each. I don't know what is going to happen? When my surgery date draws near and i will submit FMLA papers I will ask then. However, my employeer is not very understanding about ANYTHING! So I will keep my fingers crossed.

theoldmusicbox - great post, so encouraging, and so true! I haven't been sleeved yet, but if I lose slowly, I'm going to find and re-read your post!
