Please help me with some purée ideas. I don't eat vegetables and am picky with food but I am so sick of pudding, yogurt, cream of wheat, eggs and Mashed potatoes! My doctor said no oatmeal. What else can I have???? Please help.

Yeah.... I don't do fish either. Lol. Thanks anyway :(

I eat only pureed protein:

eggs

cottage cheese

tuna

salmon

canned chicken, turkey, ham

adding a laughing cow cheese to any of these is delicious.

What about refried beans or soups? I didnt have to do a puree'd stage just two weeks liquids..one of full liquids then could add in tuna salad etc.

At what point did you start purée? It is funny I am patiently waiting for this phase!!!

I started last Monday. I have to do purée for 2 weeks. I don't do beans either. I suck. Lol.

I was waiting for this phase also but after a week it sucks. Lol. I've been on it since last Monday. 6 more days to go.

If you do soup- there is a Progresso Light Santa Fe that is delish. Kind of like tortilla soup. Less than 5% fat, 5% carbs, low calorie and you can puree the soup first and then heat it up. Really good a teensy kick (makes it interesting) but not SO spicy that it will give you heartburn. Also low fat ricotta is yummy as well. Having said that, I am on pureed for a month and it's definitely starting to get old (and I have FIFTEEN DAYS to go)

In any case, good luck!

Grab any soup and blenderize the carp out of it. Worked for me.

im sneaking into this stage too but im supposed to wait a couple days im 12 days post op. i cheated today missing food so i put a jack in the box taco in the blender with a hint of beef broth and a taco sauce packet. was yummy but prolly not the healthiest choice.

I made stuffed shells for my husband. I had one of them and gave the shell to the dog. It was SO good! It had ricotta, sausage, hamburger, and Italian cheese with marinara sauce. So tasty after weeks of bland.

My NUT said I could have any Protein blended. Add spaghetti sauce or piazza sauce for flavor. Just a little bit is great!

I have a leak and have been on full liquids since 9/3. I envy you pureed peops lol...

How did you know you had a leak? In the hospital???

What stage is the pureed considered? I am on two week (stage 3). Have been doing the protein drinks, jello, pudding, cottage cheese, and creamy soups. Is the next stage considered the mush/puree stage? Don;t see my nut until 10/19.

If you're doing creamy soups and cottage cheese, then I believe you are in the pureed stage ... at least those were on my list when I was doing purees.

I think you are there, but, as always, you should give your NUT a call. Only takes 5 minutes and then you'll know for sure.
