Quick question, I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and was wondering about watermelon. It's soft and watery, does anyone know if it's ok to have?

my opinion its too much sugar too soon and you will get full on only a little piece

I'm not sure about the three weeks out part. I do know that for me watermelon is a slider and I can eat way too much. In addition, although it isn't very calorie dense there are lots of carbs - which many of us work hard to avoid. One cup of diced watermelon has 45 calories but 10 net carbs. I try to stay between 20-30 carbs so for me that is just too much. Also, while a cup of anything sounds unlikely... It's watermelon and once you chew it there is very little to it.

I had asked my Dr. you might realize it but watermelon is stringy is what I was told. I am able to have some now at 6 weeks out.

My surgeons office actually told me to eat watermelon to help easee Constipation. It is a natural colon cleanser. I am 7 weeks out and didn't have any problems with it, even at 5 weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
