I went with successfully slimmer to book with dr Garcia. I was originally scheduled with dr Almanza. Both the coordinators there had their surgeries with Dr Almanza without issue' date=' but had no problem scheduling me with Dr Garcia instead when I said I would be more comfortable in a hospital setting for the first couple days.

They are very nice and get back to me quickly with answers to all my questions. Only thing I wonder about is the pre op diet. I was told only 5 days for Almanza and also 5 days for Garcia. My BMI is 43.7.

I just wonder if anyone going through alma has been told 5 days. I am thinking I may try to do the full 2 weeks anyway. They sent me paperwork with a 14 day diet, but said only do the last 5 days. I don't want to get there and have some need to cancel or postpone it.[/quote']

I had only a 2 day pre-op diet required by Dr Garcia. Surgery was 7/2 and I'm down 60 pounds. I highly recommend Dr Garcia and his staff.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
