Weight Loss Surgery Books Pre And Post

I was curious as to if anyone ever read any of the weight loss surgery books (For example weight loss surgery for dummies and etc). Are they worth purchasing? If so, what books do you suggest?

I did not read any commercial books. In my opinion, there is more than enough free information available on the internet and that helped me.

Well when you put it that way...You are so right... :D I have found alot of good information online. I was looking into a book for my mom who isn't really into computers. I know once I tell her I am having surgery, she is going to have a crap load of questions. So I thought a book would help with some of the questions....

I liked the Weight Loss for Dummies and the cookbook as well. My favorite book, though is :"the Everything Post Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook (All you need to meet and maintain your weight loss goals)" by Jennifer Whitock.

The price is 15.95, but I got mine on Amazon for 9.00.

You might go to your library, take a few books out and see if you like them, before buying any. That's what I did.

I've read "The Sleeved Life" by Pennie Nicola. It had a lot of good info!!

I too recommend this one. It was an easy yet very informative read.

I didn't think "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" told me anything I hadn't already read, but for your mom, it might be good.

Dr Guillermo Alvarez's "Successful weight loss with the gastric sleeve" will tell you/her anything you wanna know.

Thanks you guys for the suggestions, I am going to see if I can find some of those books at the library or a used book store.

I read Before and After on my Nook, it was pretty interesting. I'm looking into print cookbooks; I guess I'm too old to use a screen in the kitchen.

Is the book called before and after? Just got sleeved yesterday and looking for something to do in the hospital.

Im reading the Emotional First Aid kit. Life after bariatric surgery and 30 ways to stop emotional eating. Both are very good
