Yes I've had a great amount of it after surgery. It has settled down but I do wonder if my vision has changed. Unfortunately it's a while off until my yearly exam.

Not only was my vision blurry....but my eyesight has become extremely worse! I got a new pair of prescription eyeglasses in January '12....by February, they were useless (I was sleeved in Dec '11). I have to squint to see thru my glasses and even then it's still hard to read/see things. I talked to my NUT about this but she just acted like it was another one of those "stages" that us sleevers go through. Im just wondering if my sight will ever improve, stay the same or get worse? With my vision insurance plan, I can only get a pair of glasses every 2 years...ugh!

I got new glasses just before surgery, then had to go back to wearing my old ones by October, 2011. I just decided a few weeks ago to put the new ones back on and now they work very well. I don'[t know if it's sleeve related, but that was my experience.

Also sleeved in May and experiencing reduced vision. I thought it was ageing and had not thought it could be sleeve related. Optometrist time I guess!

She couldn't say for sure ,"wait what is a vertical sleeve gastrectomy" ?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
