I'm taking Miralax now every day like I was told to. Not being hardheaded anymore!!! Also, being more diligent with the amount of fluids I'm taking in has helped alot. Have you tried Milk of Magnesia, etc.? But, call your doctor and let them know you're having issues and see what they advise! Happy Pooping:)

I have this this problem from time to time as I am anemic and have to take Iron . I drink an extra bottle of Water. If that doesn't help, I take one of those little blue E-lax pills at night. The next day I'm back to normal.

You can try that or consume more Fiber. Metamucil (sp) has a tasteless Fiber mixture you put into Water. I'm not sure how tasteless it is tho.

Ugh this feels horrible. :(. I have to take something NOW but have to go to work. There's been "movement" but it's not adequate. Feeling sick and nauseous.

I take 3 colace and they work great.... I tried Miralax, spent a lot of money and it took a couple days to work. :(

I just got off the phone with my surgeons office for this. She said 15ml of milk of magnesia three times a day, citrucel, and to eat watermelon. I have been taking the mom but not three times a day. She said to call back tomorrow if I'm still not moving.

Oof. So sorry. MoM cleared me out almost immediately, but it can be rough on your system, so only use if if the doc says it is okay. My doc has me on 2 colace a day and miralax for 2 weeks. If I'm regular at that point, I can go every other day. It is pretty gentle.

My doc told me to drink lots of Water (more than 80 oz), eat watermelon, and take mom 15ml three times a day. It worked like a charm. I actually had to look up the watermelon, as I was sceptical. But, water melon is actually a natural colon cleanser. Who knew?

I am now going regularly without a hassle.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
