I Feel Great! Tomorrow's The Day. :)

Recommended Posts

I have been so blessed. In January I had an appt with my PCP and requested this surgery. In February I began the six month program. there were comments from others about why they had to do this, but I loved every week of the classes. It was one Thursday a week to do something for me! I have five kids ( 3 are adults now and 14 yr old boy/girl twins). For the first time in 21 years of carrying this weight, I was doing something positive and rewarding and learning! And accountability and awareness to myself. I never missed a class, graduated at the end of July, and during the month of August I got every procedure that needed to be done. Insurance approved me to meet with my surgeon and his office team is wonderful! I have felt so happy since January starting this. Since i had everything done, they scheduled me in two weeks and the RN told me they have never scheduled that quickly ever and insurance again approved immediately. Things are buttoned up at work so I feel great leaving on medical leave. Today I'm doing some housework, getting out the Fall decorations, running a few errands, and happy for tomorrow. :) I hope everyone scheduled for surgery has a smooth transition and looking forward to learning more from each other.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
